Patient information overview video
The meniscus is important for load absorption and stability of the knee.
Removal of the meniscus leads to accelerated arthritis and a higher rate of retirement from sport.
Dr Dan utilises multiple different repair techniques including all inside, inside- out, outside- in vertical mattress, horizontal mattress, trans-tibial techniques and a combination of these.
If you have had your meniscus removed, you may benefit from a meniscal transplant.
